A for Athlete

"V" for "violation"
Violations in water polo happen with a two-handed touch on the ball, taking the ball under water and playing too hard against the opponent. Major violations can result in an exclusion with a 20-second time out. Violations can escalate to yellow-cards and red cards that put violators out of the game.
