Mission Statement[edit | edit source]

Heroes on the Water has been dedicated to providing this unique healing experience to injured men and women since first discovering its extreme effectiveness in 2007.

This innovative form of physical and mental therapy works to shatter the perceived limits of those missing an arm or a leg and create an openness to interact a mission to learn new skills, and a new focus on what can be achieved rather than what cannot.

With the help of generous donations from individuals and corporations, HOW has helped more than 3,100 soldiers throughout the years. (from 2017)

There is no cost to the soldier; all equipment, training, guidance, meals and transportation are provided free of charge.
