Located just south of Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Jenks Public School District http://www.jenksps.org/ is renovating the existing 25-meter competition pool and adding a new $19.5 million 50-meter competition pool with 1200+ spectator seats.

When finished in early April, 2011, both pools will serve the community with local recreational programs. The grand entrance plaza is sized to graciously receive large groups. Visitors and competitors are greeted with the thrill of events taking place in the lobby lounge and pool through an expansive glass wall. The coaches’ offices, administrative offices and spectator seating overlook the pool. Position Summary: The Jenks School District’s Tulsa Masters program is looking for a talented and energetic individual to continue the District’s history of excellence at the masters swimming level. The District has approximately twenty-five regularly attending masters and adult fitness members ranging from former competitive swimmers to people who desire to stay in shape and become better swimmers. The primary role of the Head Masters Swimming Coach is to be a team leader who motivates, teaches, and pushes members to achieve their unique personal goals.

The ideal candidate is a creative coach prepared to implement a program that can meet the diverse needs of members including competitive swimming, non-competitive/physical fitness, stroke techniques, social interaction, triathlon training, etc.. In addition to having profit and loss responsibilities, the individual will implement program scheduling and marketing, manage assistant coach(s), maintain program finance, communicate with members, and manage program web page. Head Masters Swimming Coach is expected to coordinate and supervise all workouts. Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
