Club/international experience: A standout defender who has drawn acclaim as one of game’s most skilled athletes…. Member of the 2004 Athens Olympic Team. He was 2nd in scoring team goals at the Olympics. Played in more than 18 International competitions, with first place finishes in five of them.
College: At Pepperdine, where he was a First Team All-American….First-team MPSF… Smith led the Waves with 55 goals in 2003.
High school: Smith helping Coronado High School win three San Diego Section CIF Division 11 Championships in 1998, 1999 and 2000….San Diego Union-Tribune Player of the Year in 1999 and 2000.
