The Creative And Performing Arts High School and Rogers Performing Arts Middle School merged in Pittsburgh's downtown, forming CAPA 6-12, a state-of-the-art facility. The school prepares students for college and university study as well as providing an outstanding education for artistic careers.

*The high school, grades 9, 10, 11 and 12, had 537 students while the middle school, grades, 6, 7 and 8 had 339 for a total of 876.<ref>Phone call to CAPA on Oct 11, 2010.</ref> So that gives about 110 students per class in the middle school grades and 135 per class in the high school. With 537 total students and them being mostly girls, given the ratio above, there is 198 boys and 339 girls in high school as per fall 2010.
