- Once was, Pittsburgh Frick 6-9. Then became Pittsburgh Obama.
- Frick was an middle school and an International Studies magnet school located in Pittsburgh's Oakland section. Parents must apply, in person, during the Preferred or General Magnet Registration period.
Pittsburgh Frick was committed to providing a quality education within a safe, caring, and nurturing environment. It is a full-school magnet where students who have completed the K-5 program in German, French and Spanish may continue their world languages studies. A Japanese course was also available for students with no previous language study, but that was cut. The instructional program is designed around the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.
